Stakeholders Conference

Event

The ELRI Stakeholders Conference took place on November 20, 2018, in Paris. The main objective of this event was to provide an open forum for participants to exchange their views on sharing and using language resources.

The conference presented the ELRI initiative in detail, providing participants with an opportunity to become familiarised with the approach and infrastructure in order to collect, prepare and share language resources in Europe.

The program included the following four main sessions:

  • Presentation of the project and challenges of multilingual Europe.
  • Use cases related to using and sharing language resources.
  • Practical issues when sharing language resources.
  • Panel and discussions on data sharing, language resources and translation services.

The conference put an emphasis on practical issues for stakeholders in public institutions and translation centres. Many thanks to all participants, see you all at the next ELRI events!
